Why Study In New Zealand
New Zealand is known for high-quality, research-led education and a welcoming, safe environment for international students. All eight New Zealand universities appear in the QS World University Rankings 2026 and the University of Auckland is ranked 65th in the world. Degrees from New Zealand are recognised by employers and universities worldwide.
For Indian students, New Zealand offers smaller classes, practical learning and strong industry links. Eligible students can work up to 25 hours a week during the semester and full-time during scheduled holidays. This helps cover part of the living costs.
Graduates in eligible qualifications can apply for a Post-Study Work Visa and new post-study work options are being introduced from 16 November 2026. This makes New Zealand a practical choice for students who want international work experience after their degree.
